Recently, I received a very thoughtful message from someone who asked if she was able to sell items made from one of my patterns. The answer to this question is no: my patterns are released under a Creative Commons Non-Commercial ShareAlike License, meaning that they cannot be used for any commercial purpose. For clarity, here’s a brief guideline for those who wish to use my patterns.

I really want people to use and enjoy my patterns, but please: don’t sell anything associated with them. I receive no profit from publishing these, and it is poor thanks for someone else to profit from what I provide for free.
If you have any questions regarding the use of my patterns, please don’t hesitate to ask!
This blog is known more for knitting than for contributions to fan fiction, but I simply couldn’t bear the thought of Teutom (the best ship) going unrepresented in the Yogsfan Fiction Contest. To that end, please consider this humble epic poem. (I threw the word ‘knit’ in there to make it blog-relevant). Enjoy!
Summary: Both Tom and Teutron hasten for to save
Their crustaceous infant from an early grave.
I don't know much about knitting and stuff like that, so this may sound INCREDIBLY stupid, but, can you do some of your stuff by doing crochet?
My patterns as they are currently written wouldn’t work in crochet, but I’m sure they could be converted to crochet! Unfortunately, since I myself don’t crochet, I have no idea how to accomplish this.
Crocheters! I hereby grant you complete permission to adapt/rewrite my patterns as you see fit (provided you don’t try to make a monetary profit from the patterns/finished objects).
Are you also planning on killing vampires with those new needles? They are spikey enough I think. (yes from now on you are a vampire slayer(in my head(maybe)))
I was walking through a shop today and the ‘Angel’ theme music came on over the speakers, so I’ll take that as a sign. (It was before I bought the needles though… maybe it was foreshadowing?)
You guys did it, really. Thanks so much. I sincerely appreciate the presence of every single one of you (and am still utterly boggled that you’re all here).
I salute you! (with these knitting needles I bought today)
For those of you wondering, these are US#50 / 25mm needles. I have no idea what I’ll make with these, but vampires shall fear me.
